Loukya Yerramreddy and Nikhil B Nimmagadda’s destination wedding in Udaipur embraced grandeur with an array of intricately curated festivities. Planning and designing the wedding and ensuring that each celebration mesmerised the guests was WeddingSutra Favorite – YOLO Entertainment & Weddings.
Wedding Planning
Jueta and Pratik Hemdev from YOLO Entertainment & Weddings share, “The couple was very hands-on at every event. They discussed each event in detail to echo their unique love story. The sangeet theme was heavily inspired by Singapore – a nod to the days they interned in Singapore together. The element of guest engagement was also quite high on their list of priorities for which there was a super fun bride’s side vs groom’s side cricket match after the haldi celebrations.”
For the couple, YOLO Entertainment & Weddings was a constant helping hand that guided them through the maze of wedding planning and designing. The duo shares, “The team was so easy to work with. No matter the request, they were always willing to find solutions. Everything from ideation to planning to execution was beyond our expectations. We couldn’t have been happier with the results!”
Weddings Functions
Lagan Patrika
The Lagan Patrika hosted in Hyderabad included rituals where prayers were offered to Lord Ganesha and the priest read out an auspicious date and time for the wedding. Adorned by numerous marigold garlands, brass urlis and bells – the event exuded a cheerful vibe. The intricate floral stage backdrop also ensured that each picture looked colorful.
Mehndi
Starting the celebration off in style was the sunlit mehndi that took place right after the wedding party arrived at the venue. After a quick check-in, the guests geared up to get their hands patterned with henna. While the bride got a headstart on her mehndi session, the guests took the opportunity to refresh themselves and appreciate the dramatic evening sky. Pink and white flowers, golden lights and marbled pillars gave the open-air celebration an enchanted vibe.
Engagement
The couple embraced glamour with a Morrocan-inspired engagement party. Moroccan lamps strategically lit up niches at the venue while latticework arches welcomed the guests at the entryway. A colossal chandelier added a modern edge to the event that was hosted under a canopy resembling a Moroccan tent.
Haldi
The haldi took place on a sunny morning with a clear light blue sky contrasting beautifully with the marigold decor. Dashes of dark blue set off the orange hues of the bloom while the couple sat in brass urlis. Vintage furnishings along with a mix of Dior-inspired prints and Rajasthani blue pottery vases made the event modern as well as traditional.
Cricket Match
Post the sunkissed haldi, everyone headed towards the makeshift pitch where they unleashed their inner cricketers! A highly competitive cricket match between the bride and the groom’s side paved the way for gleeful moments as everyone donned customised T-shirts representing their team. A mini pavilion was also constructed for the onlookers to shelter them from the dazzling sun.
Sangeet
Taking the couple back to 2017 when they interned together in Singapore, the couple’s sangeet featured elements inspired by the island country. This included elements from the lush Gardens by the Bay, Sentosa and LeVeL33 – a restaurant that gives one a bird’s eye view of the cityscape. Tropical foliage, whimsical deers playing peek-a-boo amongst the greens, miniature Ferris wheel centrepieces, Merlion-like statues and vintage chandeliers completed the decor story.
Wedding
On the couple’s big day, grandeur was at its peak. A stunning varmala ceremony replete with fireworks, flower petals and colorful lights enchanted the guests. And, while the bride wore a beautiful red-gold lehenga for her varmala, she changed into a lavender silk saree for the Telugu wedding ceremony. The mandap was adorned with white garlands and scarlet blooms while mini candles lit up the entryway.
Reception
The reception resembled a fairytale with pillars swathed with gypsos blooms, flower-shaped tables, transparent acrylic floors filled with flowers and lavender lights. The stage backed by a floral wall ensured each photograph looked picture-perfect while gilded contemporary-style sofas kept the guests comfy.
Advice For Couples
The couple shares, “Be prepared for things to take an unexpected turn! But, the moment you step into your big day or week, you should forget about everything and everyone else. Focus on the one thing you know is right – your partner.”
