The much-awaited wedding of Actress Rakul Preet Singh and Actor-Producer Jackky Bhagnani at luxurious beach resort ITC Grand Goa saw lavish celebrations attended by many Bollywood A-listers like Akshay Kumar, Shahid Kapoor, and Ayushmann Khurana, among many others. Stunning Instagram shots offered their fans a glimpse of their dreamy sunset nuptials in Goa.
Rakul Preet and Jackky Bhagnani met as neighbors and had several mutual friends, but it was during the Covid lockdown that their relationship blossomed. A birthday post for Rakul Preet by Jackky on Instagram in 2021 revealed their love to their fans, after which the couple was often seen at social gatherings together.
Opting for a high-octane desi celebration over an international destination wedding, the couple kicked off their festivities with Haldi, Mehndi, and Sangeet functions. Actors and friends like Shilpa Shetty, Raj Kundra, Riteish Deshmukh, and Varun Dhawan took to the stage with power-packed performances. The couple tied the knot with a grand Sindhi wedding. The newlyweds then shared their joy with the paparazzi, greeting and waving at them as they smiled.
For the fun and frolic of Haldi, Rakul Preet embraced the quirky energy of Papa Dont Preach by Shubhika, flaunting a vibrant purple lehenga from the brand, while Jacky sported a sage green silk kurta with gold trimmings.
The couple matched the vibrant mood and color palette of their Mehndi soiree with ensembles in bold sunset hues of orange and red. Rakul Preet exuded a boho, rustic charm in an Arpita Mehta creation that featured a flowing cape with mirror work and exquisite Phulkari work, a thoughtful nod to Punjabi heritage. Jacky sported a vivid kurta set with a long Bandi jacket by Kunal Rawal.
For a dose of glamor and whimsy, the bride wore a shimmering silver lehenga by Falguni and Shane Peacock that was adorned with a trailing crystal-studded cape and the brand’s signature artistry of intricate embellishments. The dapper groom cut a stylish figure in an embroidered blue velvet blazer.
For the sunset wedding, Rakul Preet was radiant in a blush Tarun Tahiliani lehenga, intricately hand-embroidered and bedecked with three-dimensional floral motifs. Her blouse featured sheer tulle sleeves with graded pearls and crystal detailing, while the tulle dupatta was adorned with whimsical stars and scattered Swarovski crystals. Jackky, on the other hand, sported a meticulously crafted Chikankari sherwani by the ace designer, which was adorned with the intricate Kashmiri ‘chinar’ motif and authentic zardozi work.
