Wedding Planning
Kinjal Adodra from Design HQ shares, “The wedding was a two-day affair at Karjat. Many top-notch members of the Indian Cricket Fraternity were in attendance, like, Rohit Sharma and his wife Ritika Sajdeh, Deepak Chahar and his wife Jaya Bhardwaj, Arjun Tendulkar and Shreyas Iyer. Hence, the expectations were high and everything had to be perfect.”
Wedding Functions
Haldi
Kinjal shares, “We created a backdrop with layered arches and a beautiful mural with bright colours to balance the yellow. The couple’s seating was surrounded with abundant floral arrangements.”
Pool Party
Kinjal shares, The idea of the Pool party was to have a relaxed vibe with guests where everyone could have a good time, like a Summer Picnic, so to say! We began designing with this insight thus it got us musing over a Holiday town, South of LA, California, Palm Spring! coincidentally, our venue was also lined with beautiful palm trees and this Summer Picnic of ours was being hosted on a lush green lawn by the poolside that also received abundant Sunshine just like Palm Springs. It was an indisputable, ‘too-cool-to-be-true’ direction of design for us.
The Pool Party revolved around the ‘Palm Springs aesthetic’ with an eclectic mix of elements, muted furniture, Katie Herman Style upholstery with bright colours and patterns, cacti candles and a stage with clean lines and symmetry.
Sangeet
Designed with a contemporary edge, the highlight of the sangeet was the colossal stage where the bride and groom and their loved ones shook a leg. Multiple arches, an LED backdrop and a monochromatic dancefloor ensured everyone had a gala time while enjoying their favourite beats.
Wedding and Reception
Taking a cue from the desi design concepts, the Maharashtrian wedding made jaws drop with its beauty. Kinjal shares, “The wedding design approach was completely Indian. We were very influenced by Mughal architecture. Delicate white floral garlands, arches with geometric patterns and gold furnishings were used to create a grand ambience.
