The latest B-town couple to get hitched are actors Kriti Kharbanda and Pulkit Samrat. The couple has been dating since 2018 and tied the knot at an intimate wedding celebration.
Kriti and Pulkit have been dating for the past five years since they first met on the sets of a movie in 2018. Pulkit hails from Delhi where his family has a real estate business and this is his second innings at love as his first marriage ended after only 11 months. Kriti hails from a Punjabi family that was based in Delhi but shifted to Bangalore during the 90s.
The couple got engaged in January in an intimate ceremony that family members and close friends attended. The duo also shared a post from the ceremony where Pulkit was seen hand-in-hand with Kriti at the roka ceremony surrounded by their family members.
Since the couple has been dating for years, netizens have always been keen on seeing them tie the knot. And, this Valentine’s Day Kriti was quick to drop a hint with a cryptic post that said ‘Let’s March Together’. To which, Pulkit promptly replied ‘I do’. Consequently, this led to everyone predicting, quite correctly, a March marriage for the couple!
Wedding Venue
Located a short drive away from Delhi, ITC Grand Bharat is nestled amidst the Aravalii range. The hotel features four presidential villas, and 100 suites, some of which come with a semi-private pool while being surrounded by lush greenery. The luxurious property also boasts several in-house wedding venues that are named after the four elements. This includes a vast pillarless ballroom and multiple lawns where guests can enjoy starlit celebrations.
Mehendi
The couple’s mehndi was hosted indoors. With a minimal decor and lots of spontaneous dance moves, the celebration had everyone in a cheery mood. Pulkit wore an olive green kurta set while Kriti donned a strapless ivory lehenga.
Sangeet
Surrounded by sequins and an array if glam elements, the duo’s sangeet had everyone shaking a leg. Kriti wore a blue sequin lehenga with her hair open while Pulkit wore an elaborately embroidered black bandhgala with silver threadwork.
Haldi
Taking the unconventional route, the couple used ‘multani mitti’ with minimal haldi for this event. Hosted by the pool, it was designed with vivid blooms and old-school furnishings. Kriti wore an embellished orange co-ord set while Pulkit made a dashing statement by donning a bright yellow kurta printed with abstract floral art.
Wedding
For the big day, the couple decided to opt for softer hues in their wedding outfits. Kriti wore a warm rose pink lehenga with intricate gota patti work and accessories her look with statement polki jewels. Pulkit opted for a contrast mint green sherwani embroidered with Sanskrit mantras and gold flowers.
Reception
Rather than opt for a usual ‘meet and greet’ reception, the newlyweds decided to keep the reception a laid-back one. LED lights, fun slides and a packed dancefloor ensured everyone had a gala time. Pulkit looked dapper in a three-piece velvet suit with silver embellishments while Kriti contrasted him in a colorful mermaid-cut strapless gown.
