Six Awe-Inspiring Decor Ideas To Pick From This Wedding
Wedding Planning - Jan 31, 2020
Fête Events, an undeniable leader in the events industry in Dubai, is known for skilfully crafting event masterpieces that are highly customized, changing perceptions and creating multi-sensory experiences. This was exactly what they did for Prerna and Shaun’s wedding functions, by turning their vision into reality with Mallika Singh, the founder of Fête Events, leading the team. WeddingSutra Favorites – Vivaah Weddings and House On The Clouds helped with planning this larger-than-life wedding and providing capturing the most stunning highlights from the celebrations respectively.
Welcome Dinner
Mallika Singh says, “The first event of the grand wedding followed the theme of Arabesque Haveli. My team turned on the Morrocan charm at the venue, making it colorful and cosy. We had a white backdrop and drapes and massive colorful lanterns, velvet upholstery and mirrors decorating the entire venue. The photobooth at the entrance resembled an Arabic living room, with metal vase, with metal vases, glass lanterns, jute seating, an Aladdin-style carpet, along with hand-painted plates, decanters and fruits in order to transport guests to Jasmine’s palace.”
The LED tanoura dance and arabesque statues took the decor to another level. The magical night had dates, dry fruits, Morrocan tea and coffee for the guests to indulge in. The warm white lighting and soothing Arabic music went perfectly with the gold Arabesque palace theme.
Youngsters Night
Following a futuristic theme, titled ‘Interstellar’, the Fête Events’ team, with the help of Vivaah Weddings, incorporated quirky, robotic elements, silver streamers, mirrored structures and massive disco balls all across the venue. The space travel-inspired venue looked out of the world, with mini astronauts in space suits as centrepieces and planets and constellation gobos forming the backdrop. Mallika Singh says, “For a futuristic experience, we had mirror men and contemporary ballerinas doing incredible acts under a space-themed LED light display.” House On The Clouds got clicking, capturing all the magic of the occasion in beautiful photographs.
Mehendi
The theme for this function was ‘Under The Sea’, which made for stunning pictures. Designed by the talented team of Fête Events and Vivaah Weddings, the venue was bursting with pastels in blue, pink, green, yellow and purple. There was a custom-made shell seating with mermaid-scale printed cushions on top of a plunge pool with a beautiful floral backdrop for the bridal couple. Seaweed, faux corals and dried gypsophilas decorated the area. The themed photo booth with gigantic corals and mermaids oozed an oceanic vibe. The dining tables were decked with sequins, holographic table cloths, wild floral arrangements, pastel-colored napkins and seahorse ornaments.
Sangeet
Following a blue and purple color scheme, the venue was turned into a ‘Magic Heart Hotel’. There were vintage trunks, old-school radios and television sets, along with globes, telephones, crystal candle holders, colorful flowers and books to complete the unique decor. There was also a quirky concierge-style bar, which was one of the highlights of the party.
Wedding
The wedding was elegantly done up with pastel flowers, glistening chandeliers and crystal shamadans against white and champagne drapes. The brief was minimalistic yet regal. Metal and glass structures with colorful bouquets and a quote from Shakespeare’s Hamlet, ‘Doubt thou the stars are fire. Doubt that the sun doth move. Doubt truth to be a liar. But never doubt I love’, kept romance in the air at the event.
Reception
The ultra-glam reception was themed ‘Modern Rose’. It was the perfect end to the grand nuptials. The decor was whimsical and romantic, with red, black and crystal decor elements. Mallika Singh says, “The photo booth at the entrance was done up in green and red florals with a neon signage that read, ‘Till death do us party’. At the bar, the mighty red and silver crystals mirrored backdrop made a bold statement. The seating comprised rectangular tables that had tall candelabras and clear vases with red roses, while the round tables were decorated with silver cage structures and suspended crystal chandeliers. There was a huge six-meter high and 20-meter long LED-lit backdrop on the stage, which lent the party a fun vibe.”
