Sayali and Aditya’s Regal Pre-wedding Shoot At Palazzo Versace Dubai
Pre Wedding Photoshoots - Mar 16, 2018
Dubai is one of the world’s luxury destinations. And needless to say, if there is a luxury hospitality chain to reckon with, it will have a presence here.
So it’s no surprise that Seventy By Two – Wedding Stories orchestrated Sayali and Aditya’s pre-wedding photoshoot in the striking Palazzo Versace Dubai. Within the hotels’ range of plush accommodation, steeped in classic Italian aesthetic, the duo posed creating memories that will last them a lifetime and a series of photographs that will no doubt adorn the walls of their home.
How we Met
Aditya and I first got to know of each other in an unexpected way. I’d worked in a company for two years and after I resigned, some of my colleagues were talking about this new guy who’d joined the company. Curious, I decided to look him up on social media and when I saw Aditya, I thought he was cute. A few days later, one of my friends at my former workplace told me Aditya thought I was cute. I was thoroughly flattered!
Things paused at that juncture for a few months but soon we started chatting online. By this time however, he had moved to Dubai but we’d had a few interactions and were keen on meeting each other. To my surprise, he flew in to Mumbai and soon we started dating despite the odds.
Around then, I was accepted into a university in Singapore so my mum and I went to check it out. While there, a girl texted to say she was Aditya’s friend and invited me to a small party. I was so touched by the fact that this man, sitting thousands of miles away, did not want me to feel alone in the city and connected me with his friends so that I had someone to chill with.
I didn’t join the university in Singapore and coincidentally, a friend told me about a university in Dubai to which she was applying. I applied to, got in and Aditya and I were thrilled to finally be in the same city! Moving there was a big decision, but one I have been the happiest about. While pursuing my higher education I got placed in an amazing corporate firm while Aditya continued to work with one of the top MNCs. Our lives were hectic but we always found time to spend with each other. We were living a dream!
Proposal
About a year and a half later Aditya told me he would like to take things forward. The simplicity and the timing of this proposal was something I had least expected but I absolutely loved it and said yes in a heartbeat.
Pre-Wedding Photoshoot
In June I told Aditya that I wanted to have a pre-wedding photoshoot. He was reluctant about it but I promised I would ensure that it matched his taste. As soon as he agreed I got in touch with Hardik Gada from Seventy by Two – Wedding Stories. His team had done one of my best friend’s pre-wedding shoots and I absolutely loved the concept and effort put into it.
Fortunately for us, they agreed and while there were some issues which we had to work around, Kewal and Binal eventually got back and said they were coming to Dubai for our shoot! They’d already started thinking up ideas and we had discussions about themes, outfits, locations etc on WhatsApp. I was ecstatic and we blocked a date in the month of September.
We knew we’d have to shoot indoors because of the heat in Dubai in September but Aditya and I were super busy wrapping up our work assignments before we left for the wedding. So we left it to the photographers to take a call on the venue. Of course, we ended up shooting at one of the world’s best hotels – Palazzo Versace Dubai! Not only did the team manage to get us one of the most extravagant suites there but they also made us look and feel like royalty through the day.
When we began the day Aditya and I really weren’t sure what to expect but we ended up having the time of our lives. Binal did a fabulous job of directing us. She guided us through everything, the kind of look that would go with the theme, where we should gazem how we should smile. What’s brilliant is that she totally understood what we were hoping for in the final results and made sure we worked toward that.
We loved the time we spent shooting and I think the most special thing about it was that for once, we took time away from everything. No phones, no work, just us, dressing up to get clicked. We literally felt like royalty. The team was so cooperative and friendly that no part of the whole experience felt like a chore. In fact, we didn’t even realize where the time went. It’s a day I will cherish forever.
