A reception in Oman that revived the retro glamor of the roaring 20s in the US
Destination Weddings - Sep 30, 2019
Varsha and Aadil’s reception at the Kempinski Hotel Muscat in Oman was an enchanting mix of glitzy decor, a vintage 20s vibe and lots of spontaneous fun, all thanks to WeddingSutra Favorite Mosaic Events. The country, a perfect destination for opulent, regal weddings, provided the reception with gorgeous backdrops. Here are a few glimpses of the evening that will set major reception decor goals!
After a royal wedding in Kerala and a grand after-party in Thailand, Varsha and Aadil hosted a stunning reception in Oman.
With a ‘The Great Gatsby’ theme borrowed from the bestseller book of the same name by F. Scott Fitzgerald, the reception was a glittering affair with a decor palette comprising shades of white, black and rich gold. The sophisticated facade of the Kempinski Muscat provided perfect backdrops for the event. The vast hotel ballroom where the function was hosted accommodated all the guests comfortably.
The venue was decorated with opulent elements such as glowing candles and ornate candle stands, illuminated bars and magnificent couches that amped up the glamor of the surroundings.
The stage stood out at the venue as it was brightly lit. A dark pathway surrounded by tables on both sides led to it. The table decor elements consisted of white feathers, floral arrangements, pearls and crystal glassware which added a whimsical charm to the ambiance.
Menu cards were also customized according to the theme colors and placed on each table for the convenience of the guests. To make the retro vibe come alive, special dancers and musicians put up impressive performances of dance routines and music from the roaring 20s in the US.
