A Pre-Wedding Shoot in Dazzling Dubai!

Dubai glitters like a star in the Middle East. It has a tick mark for anything on your creative, adventurous pre-wedding shoot checklist – endlessly undulating dunes, golden beaches, luxurious resorts, traditional, rustic hubs and shimmering futuristic skyscrapers. Dubai presents diverse elements from different eras, cultures and countries.
Chintan and Kripali managed to capture the best the city has to offer and pulled off a superb shoot at the luxurious Madinat Jumeirah. Here, Chintan shares their story and highlights from the shoot captured by WeddingSutra Favorite Israni Photography.
How we met
“We met via an arranged marriage set up. My fiancé Kripali is a dental surgeon or as she prefers to call herself, a ‘Dentrepreneur’. I head the Construction and Finance wing of B D Vasani & Co. Our families were introduced by common friends a year ago.
After we met, we both proposed to each other, at the same time on the same day using the same words! We like to believe that our marriage was an arranged marriage only for an hour on day one and it’s been a love marriage ever since!”
Pre-Wedding Shoot
“We wanted to create a set of images that were unique and fun and reflected us as individuals and as a couple. We just wanted to be ourselves and we were lucky to have Israni Photography who had a very clear roadmap ready after our very first meeting. They jotted down everything we wanted and turned it into a reality.
Every minute of our shoot days were planned a month in advance with an efficient buffer for on-the-spot changes or modifications. We had around 10-12 looks and it took us a month to get our outfits made by our designers. We contemplated having a stylist in the beginning but we figured it was more fun being each other stylists. In the process, we were also each other’s nutritionists and collectively lost 12 kgs. Totally worth it!
We picked the luxurious Madinat Jumeirah as one of our main locations for its beautiful interiors and architecture. Set across a private beach, the resort is an authentic recreation of ancient Arabia, capturing the natural beauty of the region and it was just perfect for our shoot! It was our best vacation to date! We went 2 days in advance to settle down and get things arranged.
We started day one early in the morning to shoot in places that would be busy during working hours. We also went to unexplored locations which handed over permissions for the first time.
Megha added a few fun twists with real-life actors playing an interesting part in the pre-wedding shoot. The entire shoot felt like a bachelor-bachelorette party for both of us.
There were many special moments but driving down to Sharjah in Kripali’s yellow convertible Bentley with the roof down and the cool biker jacket look was our favourite. All in all being in each other’s company in our second favourite city was fabulous.”
