Palak and Ravi’s Post-Wedding Shoot in Exotic Bali

A jewel in paradise, Bali glowed and glittered in the backdrop of this gorgeous post-wedding photo shoot that had moments of sheer delight as well.
From the lush environment to the centuries old manmade marvels, vast expanses of rice fields to the warm, kind people – Bali is serendipity personified. The natural harmony is evident everywhere you look and it’s no wonder Bali, one of the most beautiful places in the world, made Palak and Ravi go weak in the knees. The couple decided to visit Bali for their post-wedding shoot and Oragraphy beautifully managed to capture the essence of their love in this exotic destination. The results are here for all to see.
Palak tells us how they got there, literally and metaphorically.
How we met
“Our families have known each other forever but Ravi and I never kept in touch. In 2015 he was in India for a few weeks and we bumped into each other a couple of times. We exchanged numbers and once I was back in Australia we kept in touch over text messages and calls.
Despite our common ideals of marriage, we’re poles apart in personality. We’ve been in a long distance relationship for a year before the marriage but nothing has changed. We still feel like best friends, living in together.”
The Proposal
“We shared everything with each other but due to the time differences, we didn’t talk much – just lots of texts. Suddenly, one day, while we were chatting, Ravi proposed at 3 am. What followed were days of back and forth and some arguments and then I decided to say ‘yes’. We informed our parents and that’s how it all began.”
Post-Wedding Shoot
“We just had two days for the shoot because we had to fly back to Australia. We started each morning at 6 am and wrapped up only in the evening. Since traffic in Bali is very common, it would take us a while to go from one place to another. We all managed just 3-4 hours of sleep at the end of the day. The waterfall shots were the most fun part of the shoot. It was very slippery so it was difficult to maintain balance while posing. The photographer and the team really helped us throughout and the results are outstanding.”
