An intimate wedding in the heart of Yosemite National Park

This whimsical outdoor wedding features epic backdrops, totally free-spirited romance, and stunning captures of the bride and groom!
Raquel and Joey envisioned an intimate and whimsical wedding day, surrounded by nature. So the free-spirited couple let their imaginations soar and picked none other than Yosemite National Park. The park in California’s Sierra Nevada Mountains is famous for its cliffs, giant sequoias and a feeling of space. Dwarfed by the magnificence of this destination, the couple managed an intimate celebration far from the madding crowds of the valley but close enough for their guests to enjoy the park at an elevation of 7,214 feet.
The couple wanted to spend the entire day outdoors – from the start of the ceremony to the last dance at the reception – so guests could soak in the beauty and ambiance of the park.
The bride was a vision in her white lace dress featuring lace sleeves and a deep V-neckline that was equal parts youthful and elegant. Her bouquet was in keeping with the natural, rustic-meets-elegant vibe that couple was going for. Joey opted for a crisp white button-up shirt, black pants, suspenders, and a black tie.
The bride and groom introduced their loved ones to the very best of Yosemite, and Tessa Tadlock captured every detail of their refined, outdoorsy day.
The day turned out to be one of the greatest shoots they’ve ever done, with Yosemite being a giant playground for the talented photographer to capture their love.
