Exotics blooms and vintage paraphernalia infused this Sangeet celebration with splendor
Wedding Planning - Jun 12, 2020
“We are die-hard romantics at heart and love the idea of being in love. But we also believe in the old world idea of love where there’s plenty of mystery and intrigue.” – Avantika & Aakash
An indulgent evening of dancing, drinking and music, Avantika and Aakash’s Sangeet night was conceptualized and executed in mesmerizing beauty by WeddingSutra Favorite – Altair Décor.
A glittering light installation in the shape of a majestic elephant greeted everyone in the foyer, and an alluring verdant passage with cascading foliage and twinkling lights opened up to a magical night of opulence and old-world charm. Under a green canopy hung with eclectic lanterns, the revelries unraveled beautifully enveloped in the rich, sensuous color palette of purple, gold, and crimson.
Dark, exotic blooms dotted with tea light candles in dainty glasses and colorful crystal props filled the room, as well as the log dinner table, interspersed with slender, long candles in antique holders. Vintage paraphernalia such as gramophones, telephones, and trunks added a touch of nostalgia and intrigue.
Velvet upholstery in luxurious colors added an air of royalty and decadence, while pretty Chinese lanterns hung atop the dinner table, all aglow with soft, warm light, bringing in a surprise layer of magic and mystery of the orient to tie it all together.
