WeddingSutra Influencer Awards - May 7, 2018
The WeddingSutra Influencer Awards, besides being an occasion meant to honor excellence, was also a glittering platform for some of the most esteemed fashion designers in the industry. Joining WeddingSutra as ‘Experience Partners’, each designer created two concept tables inspired by their latest wedding collections and added a wealth of visual resonance. In the previous part of this series, we brought to you designer duo Shivan and Narresh’s table inspired by the islands of Seychelles, this time we shine the spotlight on Payal Singhal’s setup.
Vintage Décalage, the theme at her tables, stood for the new eclectic mix of traditional yet modern aesthetics which all came together wonderfully in the form of an elaborate setting. She combined all kinds of classics into a timeless amalgamation. The result – a dreamy layout fit for an elegant wedding defined by refined taste.
Her table embodied a sense of nostalgic and whimsical romance through a pastel color story, accented by golden features and graceful crystal vases. The cluster of assorted off-center trays holding striking elements was positioned as the centerpieces over a rich overlay of woven fabric. Crystal perfume bottles filled with small colorful beads and glass vases were paired with copper cups and engraved glassed all of which held fresh blooms. Exotic scents were dispersed through pretty incense sticks and other knick-knacks such as porcelain spoons, an ornate pair of scissors and so on were used to bring in an authentic vibe of the yesteryears.
Delicate translucent napkins with pretty embroidered motifs adorned with baby’s breath were placed on golden charger plates. For the final finishing touch, the designer used a curtain of lace behind the chairs which were pulled to one side and tied with attractive floral bunches.
