A revolutionary transformation that took place within 40 hours – this celestial-themed wedding reception had the glamour stakes soaring!

When it came to orchestrating an event that included never-seen-before designs, WeddingSutra Favorite – Marriage Colours was far from shying away. Master of creative design setups that make jaws drop, they designed this reception in under 40 hours – a colossal task to say the least! Pradeep Chandar from Marriage Colors gives us an overview of the unique design elements the team used and the thought process behind it, “For us, this wedding reception celebration was a colossal task that we took in our stride. With less than two days in our hands, we started transforming the entire venue. However, the vision was clear from the very beginning – we wanted to create a cosmic-inspired celebration with interactive design elements and custom installations that gave the guests an out-of-this-world experience.”
First impressions are important not only for people but also for celebrations! Knowing this, the design team crafted an entrance tunnel that gave attendees a view of the magic that awaited them. Pradeep shares, “We named the entrance tunnel, the ‘Infinity Tunnel’ which consisted of 360 mirrors with neon orbits and floral embellishments. As you walked in, you would see multiple reflections that paved the way for an immersive experience. Plus, a baby’s breath cloud installation added a dreamy feel to the entire setup.” Once the guests stepped in, they were greeted by a cosmic-inspired ceiling that resembled a sky filled with flowy, fluffy clouds. How? All thanks to the custom-made organza fabric designed with neon waves that flowed at the slightest puff of air. Adding a dash of whimsy were chandeliers, baby’s breath clouds and infinity lights. Pradeep adds, “As everyone settled in on their tables which were sheltered by canopies, they also had a clear view of the chrome gold-hued walkway that reflected the ceiling. Around them, the couches followed the same wavy pattern of the organza fabric on the ceiling. The side wall had floral patterns, with gold mirror strips and greens; the pastel flowers and the elevated lounge seating were kept at the back, for the guests to indulge in the overall ambience.
The fluid design aesthetic of the setup was also reflected in the stage decor. The fluidic orbital stage inspired by the solar system was built with over 15 layers with florals, mirrors and hand-painted patterns. The stage backdrop was built over 60 feet wide and 15 feet high. The ceiling had 3 unique installations – the central floral circle representing the planets in their orbit, with an elaborate floral bed, beautified with Amaranthus blooms. The side circles were enhanced with infinity lights, while the ceiling was kept busy with multiple floral hangings.”
