WeddingSutra Favorite – Elusive Dreams by Pooja Doshi pulled off India’s first ever La Tomatina-themed Haldi, setting a new trend for those looking for decor ideas beyond flowers. With more than 100 kgs of tomatoes used to not just design the decor, but also for guests to play with, this unique Haldi planned by WeddingSutra Favorite – Morani and Soorma was as memorable as it was beautiful!
Hues of red took over the sprawling Oleander Farms in Karjat as soft furnishings with polka dots, picnic tables, wooden benches, bars, and wine barrels set a rustic, vineyard ambiance. Creative set-ups of tomatoes and other vegetables found their way onto tables, centerpieces, and other corners. For a truly eye-catching idea, cycles were suspended from the canopy poles with green and red tomatoes cascading down the sides, as well as in their baskets. Hand-held fans and hats were given to guests as favors to stay cool for the outdoor sunny occasion as they enjoyed, played Tomatina, and had the time of their lives!
